Depending on how you use ShiftCoast, this information may include:

  • Account role, such as Worker or Business;
  • Profile information;
  • Skills, qualifications, availability, and work preferences;
  • Business name and company information;
  • Job postings and job-related details;
  • Job applications and shift history;
  • Ratings, reviews, and feedback;
  • Communications and support requests;
  • Information necessary to process payments or payouts; and
  • Other information you choose to provide through the Platform.

Information Generated Through Platform Activity

When you use ShiftCoast, we may collect information related to your activity, including:

  • Jobs posted, viewed, applied for, accepted, or completed;
  • Shift start and end information;
  • Payment and payout records;
  • Transaction history;
  • Account activity;
  • Communications made through the Platform;
  • Ratings and reviews; and
  • Dispute, refund, or support information.

Information Collected Automatically

We may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Device type and operating system;

  • Device identifiers;

  • Platform usage and activity;

2. Location Information

ShiftCoast may collect or process location information when necessary to provide location-based features of the Platform.

For example, location information may be used to display relevant job opportunities, verify or support shift-related activity, improve Platform functionality, prevent fraud, or provide other location-based services.

Depending on your device and settings, location information may include approximate or precise location data.

Where required, ShiftCoast will request permission before accessing device location information. You may control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may limit the availability or functionality of certain Platform features.

3. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform;
  • Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts;
  • Connect Workers with Businesses;
  • Facilitate job applications and shift-based work;
  • Process payments, payouts, refunds, and related transactions;
  • Maintain transaction and work records;
  • Provide customer support;
  • Send important account, transaction, security, and administrative communications;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, and security incidents;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and other Platform policies;
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations;
  • Analyze Platform usage and performance; and
  • Develop and improve Platform features and security.

ShiftCoast does not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Information Shared Between Users

ShiftCoast is a marketplace that connects Businesses with Workers. Certain information may therefore be shared between users when necessary to facilitate jobs and shifts.

For example, Businesses may be able to view certain Worker profile information, qualifications, ratings, applications, and information relevant to a shift.

Workers may be able to view Business information, job descriptions, shift requirements, compensation, location information, ratings, and other information necessary to evaluate or perform a job.

We limit this sharing to information reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and facilitate interactions between Workers and Businesses.

Users may not use information obtained through ShiftCoast for unauthorized, unlawful, or unrelated purposes.

5. Payments, Payouts, and Stripe

ShiftCoast uses third-party payment providers, including Stripe, to facilitate payment processing and payouts.

When you use payment or payout features, Stripe or another payment provider may collect information such as:

  • Payment card information;
  • Bank account information;
  • Identity verification information;
  • Tax identification information;
  • Business information;
  • Transaction information; and
  • Other information required to process payments, payouts, or meet legal and regulatory requirements.

ShiftCoast does not store full payment card numbers on its systems.

Certain sensitive financial, identity, banking, or tax information may be collected and processed directly by Stripe or other payment providers rather than stored by ShiftCoast.

Your use of these services may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms, privacy policy, and other agreements.

6. How We Share Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party providers that perform services on our behalf or help operate the Platform, including providers of:

  • Payment processing and payouts;

Closing or deleting an account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all information. Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.

Information processed independently by third-party providers may be subject to their own retention requirements and privacy policies.

ShiftCoast does not sell personal information.

ShiftCoast is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information, except where retention is required by law.
